No, it is not a phone, or a computer, or a tablet. It’s a piece of plastic, glass, and cable bought off Amazon for $60.
It’s the external hard drive.
My favorite is the WD My Passport Ultra. This is because it’s small, portable, and discreet. It also has the cheapest price of any external drive of a decent quality. I’ve tried many other hard drives, but this one comes out on top. For starters, it’s the quietest (spinning) drive I’ve ever owned.
I compared it to the other hard drive on my desk while I was writing this – the Toshiba 1 TB drive. I used Blackmagic to do all of my tests, using the same cable for both tests.
Write speed of the Toshiba: 80.6 MBPS
Write speed of the WD: 92.1 MBPS
Read speed of the Toshiba: 95.9 MBPS
Read speed of the WD: 98.6 MBPS
As you can see, the speeds on the WD drive are much faster and thus makes for a more responsive drive.
